Description

I was working on a project for a customer and decided this first attempt wasn't quite right. The coat is faux leather with shiny cuffs, collar and lapel. The silver trim is hand-painted. I added a snap to the front and changed the cuffs a bit. Silver brads hold down the points of the collar and lapel. The coat was made for 12" fashion dolls like Ken (as shown) but the sleeves are wide enough to let it fit dolls with fists like GI Joe (as shown on Han Solo) and BJD dolls (as shown on the close up of the cuffs). I try to make my designs are one-of-a-kind. Each has a small label sewn in the back seam and marked with my inventory code. Each design is photographed and carefully described in my personal design catalog so I can be sure never to repeat anything unique I make. Hand-sewn detailing increases the cost/value of the design. The clothes I make are made strong with sealed seams to give lasting life even when in the hands of a child. Note: Doll is a model and not for sale.
